I am a second year (U1) undergraduate student at McGill University
working on my major in physiology and minor in classical languages. I am
passionate about learning about the various systems that compose human beings,
as the more I learn, the more incredible I find that we exist as a dynamic
interaction of diverse yet highly ordered molecular components along with our
cognizant and rational faculties. In addition, exposure to the grammar, syntax, and
etymology of Ancient Greek and Latin is fascinating. Classical languages reveal so
much about the human mind!
My interests are not limited to my degree, however, and I enjoy literature as well. Many of the most enjoyable reads I have ever had have
been because of other people’s suggestions, so feel free recommend a novel. When not studying, I write both poetry and prose, and play piano. Also, I love
hiking in backcountry British Columbia and the Rocky Mountains.
Bagel Trance and Happenstance is supposed to be a dialogue about the various concepts most science undergraduate students encounter in lecture, so if you have a comment or a question, please write. Often in classes of 600, we forget to address the interactive part of learning, and my blog is an attempt to resolve this issue.
